Students receiving an academic scholarship for admission based on Senior 3 or Grade 11 grades must graduate from high school and meet entry requirements for approved Senior 4 or Grade 12 courses. If the average percentage calculated for Grades 12 or Senior 4, used to meet entry requirements is higher than the average calculated for grades 11 or Senior 3, the award will be revised upwards, if lower, the award will be revised downwards.

The grade point average for approved Senior 4 or 12th grade courses used to fulfill academic scholarship requirements will be used to assess scholarship eligibility for students who have already completed 12th grade when they apply for .

Academic admission awards are also given to transfer students who are transferring from eligible Canadian university or college programs. Transfer students are eligible to receive an Entrance Scholarship based on their previous academic performance.

Central will provide qualified college transfers worth $16,000 per year, a total of $48,000 over six semesters, to deserving students selected annually. 

“Central Methodist University recognizes the value of community college graduates, and we want to be the institution that partners with them to complete their four-year degree,” Gulstad said. “CMU has many exciting and new experiences for students, from Digital U, to Enactus, to Civic Engagement, Greek Life, Student Government and so much more.
